hi all took my missis's car to the local garage today after the ecu light came on, it showed
Linear egr position... p1405 p0110
intake air temp sensor high voltage

its mk4 astra 1.6 16v x16xel

should i just replace the intake sensor and is the egr problem the egr itself?

if its anything like the x18xe1 i would replace the intake sensor and clean the egr out with carb cleaner.reset the codes by leaving the battery off for 1 hour and go from there

EGR is an easy job on these and its a common problem, forever going wrong. You can either replace it or buy a blanking plate and blank it off.

so there a common problem? its the x16xel different inlet to the x16xe. if i blank it off will it still show the ecu light? will this have caused the air intake to show up too? cheers
