Im sure i can remember someone saying that you can buy something from B&Q or somewhere like that that is similar to sound deadening sheets but alot cheaper!!!
Ive already spent about £100 on dynamat extreme for the main areas but was gonna try and do every panel i could get to but that would cost hundreds
Am i correct or just dreaming that i read it

Dynamate is just a posh and more expensive version of roof insulation. The roof stuff is cheaper, B&Q have it , forgot how much it was now sorry!!!

I think the aquaseal stuff has to be heated to adhese to the surface. Forgive me if this is not true. You heat it up with a hair dryer and then roll loads of it on.
I'm tempted to buy some too.

i jus used a heatgun. If you dont it still sticks to an extent but can be peeled off, use a heat gun, no chance

Aquaseal flashing tape doesn't absorb sound nearly as much (if at all) compared to Brown Bread, Dynamat, Dynamat Extreme, etc.

the stuff i got from B & Q was called something like self adhesive roof underlay and came in a roll 10m x 1m.
was about £24.99 i think but you could cover the whole car in one roll.
does that help

Stick with the Dynamat - I've got it all over my car. Its that price for a reason - it's chuffin good at what its designed to do!

dynamat is only bitumen on a sheet. its really overpriced. fill in gaps with expanding foam and use roof insulation, it will cost a 1/4 the price and teh difference wont be very noticeable compared to using dynamat.

Well i bought some aquaseal out of interest today, even if i only double it up over and over in the tailgate then its worth it for the price!!! Ive also got some real dense foam to go with it so hopefully with both on rear3/4 panels will help stop so much rattling and flexing and keep 1 or 2 db in the car!!!!

Theres some stuff used for flooring which is very good. Theres either that stuff thats like under bonnets of older cars.
Or theres some silver stuff which comes folded up, its meant to be used under laminate flooring. But works very well in car and ya can easily cut it to any shape ant its big. Only prob is ya gotta bond it on ya self.
