Just looking for some advice
Can someone tell me what i will need to put a 1.6 16v engine into a 1.2 8v merit
Which engine mounts do i use or need to buy
Driveshafts
Gearbox
Loom + ECU - easy to wire in any guides etc
Can anyone send me in the right direction for a guide or someone that has done it before in project and builds, would be a great hep
cheers
Edit - from reading some threads from 04
I've learnt that the 8v mounts will fit a 1.6 / 1.4 aslong as it doesnt have pas or a/c
can someone clarify this ?

Correct (i hope)
At the moment i have a C16NZ sat in my garage, which hopefully is going to be rebuilt up using a multipoint head (with all inlet etc) I know buying a C16SE would have been easier but hey its something to do!
The 1.6 8v looks exactly the same as the 1.2 8v block.

I "THINK" because your going from an 8V to 16V you "MAY" need a 16V driver side engine mount.
Load of thinks and may's aint it

Yeah i also think you need a 16V Engine Mount,And a Rad from a 16V Non A/C Model?
You will also have to change your Fuel Pump to a 16V One.
Maybe a few Pipe's?Due to changing the Rad.Use the X16XE G/Box aswell.
Not sure about the Driveshafts?Think they may need to be changed?

8V for a 8V Will be easier,But the 16V Route isnt impossible.

you can use the original 1.2 mount the 16v mount wont fit the chassis mount and you cant change it as ts welded to the car. keep same shafts and radiator. need a mpi pump to go in the tank. then the engine ecu wiring and immob bits and thats it
