hay all.
basicaly the misses internet is propper shit atm.. well has been since her brother moved home, used to get 1.7mbs on bt home hub now its only reading at 600kbs if that sometimes.
now my question is... are there any programs out there that can tell you who's taking all the band width, and how much they are taking..
i know how to see who's using the home hub and have set the misses laptop up so that it thinks its a gaming console..(only thing i could think of that might give it more band with)
also its that bad that i have been sat here for 45 minutes waiting for a relatively small update for my ps3 and its only on 25% takes the piss really.
just want to do this so i can show her rents and they will deal with her bother and his insistant band width hogging

oh i know he's perminently downloading which is an arse but i get to prove it to the misses rents before they will be fooked to do anything bout it... they are totaly crap with things like this as they say "our pc works ok" all they do is sit there and maybe do the daily crossword and thats it.......
or is there any way of limmiting his connection?

oh and he's the type of person if you as upfront he'll more than likely take a swing for you... not to good

Change the router settings so he has to play fair and do his downloading in the early hours when everyone's in bed and nobody's using it.
i.e. close certain ports between 8am - 11pm each day, etc.

You said he has it on even when he's out.
Start a download on your pc, show that it's going slow.
Disconnect his laptop and show how much it speeds up.
