Do I go for something I've had before and isn't remarkably different from what i've had in the past and go iphone.
Or do I go HTC hero, something new, different and potentially the future.
on the other hand, the iphone is proven to be good and going to continue to be good, with great apps available.
The HTC hero though is a unknown and could be crap, surrounded by people with iphones.

ive always had htc's, not foud of the iphones tbh.
order which ever you want if you dont get on with it send it back and get the other.

i know i'll get on with a iphone, I've had one before.
It's just the thought of being tied down for 18 months - while the android phones take over the world and also buying a phone that is as common as muck. Maybe if the iphone 3GS had a S symbol on it, it'd at least stand out as being superior.
The HTC Hero isn't out yet though... I'm mostly concened with the hero not being that great (I've never liked HTC touch screens, compared to iphone they're all inferior) and if the hero aint that great, i'll be walking around with a expensive thing that's almost embarressing to get out of my pocket. Constantly being reminded by iphone users that I should've got an iphone.

htc's touchscreen is brill imo, every now and again i will make a mistake but its easy to fix!
i like the hero look, just the kinked out bottom looks odd.

The HTC touch screens have really taken a leap forward now, I would put them on a par with iPhones.
You should get down to a shop and have a play around on the Hero when it gets released.
OR
Get a hero SIM free for £399 and go onto O2's SIMplicity tarif for abit. If you dont like it you can sell it on for minimal loss and get a iPhone ?

take a contract out over the net or via phone and you'll get 14 days to play with the phone and send it back.
plenty of time to decide which you prefer.

too late, already paid for the iphone 3gs.
should be here soon.
Think I realised that i was holding out for something better than the iphone, but the reality was that whatever I'd get - I'd always be comparing it to the iphone and thinking 'damn wish i'd of got one'.
