hi people,
got a small problem, basically a few days back the car blew a water pipe so i set about replacing it, about halfway through i noticed there was a wire hanging down by the alternator (a blue and white one, from the 8mm thread)
now is this needed? (i know it must be but how was the car working before?)
because now the battery is not holding charge at all, its fine when the engine is running but as soon as i turn it off and leave it for 10 mins or so it wont start again,i have put the wire back on and tried it but still no luck (although i didnt have a 8mm nut so have had to bodge it a bit.....)
do you think if i was to put the wire on properly with a 8mm nut then it would be ok? or is that wire just a sensor wire etc?
any help would be greatly appreciated,
