Sometimes when I am braking / slowing down then put my foot down a second or two later my car will make a backfire noise, the accelerator drops down and then springs back up all in about .5 second. Is this something I should be worried by? I know backfires are sometimes normal but...what's with my accelerator pedal dropping to the floor then springing back? Also please note when it drops down, it does not effect the revs or speed at all.
cheers

sorry, it's corsa b, p reg, 1.2 8valve
nobody? please note that it doesn't put the EML on or anything, it just happens and it's really annoying. Possibly to do with half the air filter missing or something? just drilled holes, took the hot air feed pipe off. Should be fine without those as it has been for months. Something to do with fuel/air mixture anyway but I can't put my finger on it, any help?
