WELL My 8310 is reaching the end of its life, its currently in warranty until the end of November so I can send it off for repair which will get it back to me in 7 odd working days AND their policy doesn't cover the battery which is fantastic
The phone has stopped receiving updates on email, facebook and any other internet apps I use (apart from my online calendar), been through O2's support and deleted the service books&requested new ones but still no love. The battery life is terrible as of late and the whole OS the phone runs seems to be laggy as fuck, I can type textes faster then it can print them out and most of the time letters are missing, navigating through menus is slow very slow.
I've also been paying for insurance through o2, so really I want a new phone immediately and not be without a bloody phone for ages. Is there anything I can do without o2 just mugging me off and telling me to speak to the Blackberry Repair Centre?
thanks for reading

If you've got accidental damage cover just drive over it.
If it's loss or even worse stolen cover you need to go to the police station.

As John said, the easy way is if you have accidental damage cover, in which case just drop it so its fairly smashed up or use the old car method!

Not really, you could be ringing up because it has happened already and you just want to check if you are covered before submitting a claim.

If it's o2 insurance, iirc, they only do a couple of packages, all of which cover accidental damage.
Have a look on the site/in your account.

why are o2 not issuing a like for like replacement under the warranty scheme and instead reffering you to blackberry?!?
tbh, sounds like the pin provisions have been deleted by the phone which normally happens if the phone has caught an os virus or if just generally shagged.
have you tried re-registering the HRT?

HRT?
Just tried the service book stuff to be honest, even when I spoke to o2 BB replacement people they said "uhhh you have insurance?" so now the phone has been accidentally broken
new phone comes tomorrow.

yeh the Host Routing table, its under security iirc, it just re-registers your bb pin to the bis network-if that doesnt work phone is well and truly shagged. is gprs in capitals or lower case?

thing is if it was something to do with routing surely I wouldnt have any services? my calendar was syncing up to Google Mail fine and I could view facebook via the application. I was just getting no notifications and 'app 523' error all the time which resulted in the phone rebooting itself

if its showing in capitals then there is a blackberry connection, if re-registering the HRT doesnt work then the phone is fubarred im afraid. if you u2u me your pin i may be able check the provisions at blackberry see if it is phone or not
