my mate c20xe keeps snapping the "OS" hub they are chris ashley hubs and hes on the 3rd one .....in 1 month? (and motor sport shafts btw)
any ideas why
these are not cheap are we are woundering why its snapping them so easy

seems dodgy, could be bad batch maybe or even machined wrong as bearings are push fit are'nt they, but 3 is wierd i ruined one on my xe on passenger side took 2 years though, went mtech one and its bin fine since

he had a F20 box on it he blow that up he put a F18 on it and since then its snapped the 2 hubs and 3rds on its way in the post 
am sure hes had a new wheel bearing fitted would this do anything?

hi i used the hubs from lmf sheers the ends straight off in bout 2-3 days

there was a bloke on here the other day. he had the castle nut goin loose on him. always the passenger side usually. strange your mates is the drivers side. its because the short shaft is slightly too long. but no reason on the long shaft

can i put a washer before the bearing and a washer after the bearing as it has bout 3mm of play on bearing and its brand new

when i ordered hubs from chris astley they came in boxes that still had vauxhall part numbers on them lol

there should be a washer on either side wany way on conversion hubs, they should come with one when you buy them

i think you just solved my problem adamf the washer that comes with the hub does the go in between the hub and the cv ?

m tech ones come with washers other ones dont. even if u have the washers both sides they can still go

yes but it should reduce that 3mm of play on the bearing shouldnt it then they should last longer than 2-3 days lol

but putting a washer the other side is making that shaft longer if u know wot i mean. if anything use another washer behind the castle nut

cant say whether they are the same for all as ive only ever had one pair of hubs in my xe/let life, they are mtech ones which have a washer either side and ive never had a problem.
ive been running 350 bhp ish for 3-4 years aswel
and to answer your earlier question the washer that comes with them goes between the hub and the cv joint

lmf's mtech onescame with a asher that went between the cv and hub as without it you couldnt get the split pin through the castle nut, they actually sell the washer seperate on the mtech site for about #5
the hubs i got from chris astley came with a box lol just a hub with nothing
