Just wandering if it's worth doing. what parts would I need for the conversion. bearing in mind its a 1.6 sport. and roughly how much would it all cost. or would it be better to tune up the 1.6 engine?
bit of an odd question i know.

Nah not odd, fairly common to be honest.
It depends what you would want eventually out of it.
I'd say it be better money/BHP ratio with a redtop but as you've got a 1.6 tuning is very easy also.
The rough price when I was looking for a redtop in my 1.4 sport was around £1500

You could ThrottleBodies the 1.6 and get approx 150BHP (with things like cams and good managment) and that be very responsive.
But the redtop starts life as 150BHP so

yes there is one on here with 159bhp with tb's exhaust and remap. i think its still got standard exhaust manifold aswell and standard cams. have a look on the projects its a red corsa if that helps at all and its on jenvey (hope thats spelt right) tb's
