when i put my foot down or go round a car sharpish i get a funny crackling noise from the dash, not sure if its coming through the speakers or not, but its doing my head in. no cables seem to be loose behind head unit thought, could it be a loose earth off something.... any ideas????

Maybe try putting some more info mate. Whereabouts on the dash? What kind of 'crackling' noise, electronic? How loud, etc.

its hard to tell as my car is stripped out n noisey anyway and it happens when im going for it so its abit tricky to try n find out, its when cornering or hitting a bump at speed so gota be a loose cable or connection i think, still happens when sterio is turned off and is fairly loud. same sound as when your wiring a sub up and the earth sparks when touching it on metal if you no what i mean.... i dont have any subs or anythin, just 2 front std speakers.

Wouldnt have thought its to do with the sound system if it does it when the head unit is off as that will cut the power to them anyway.
