each of the ps3's 8 cells doesnt = 1 core of the 360 chip they work in completely different ways, basically the 360 cores, whilst only having 3, eaach one is more powerfull and being general purpose can do more with each one, also the cache speed to each one is faster.
The ps3 has 8 cells, which arent general purpose and are slightly crippled by the slow bus. So both have pros and cons and end up producing similar results at the end of the day

Once the price drop happens the sales will pick up
I know of a few people who've said they'll get one once the price drops happened, even though they really want one & the price may only change by £30. Its more the prnciple of not paying the launch price

that was my point marc, compared to the 360 and ps3 its hardware is not as fast, doesnt produce as good graphics blah blah but will still sell due to the games being good

360 and ps3 have there strengths and weaknesses, rockstar have said the ps3 is better suited for gta and the makers of bioshock and medal of honour or hour of victory (cant remember which) said they felt the 360 was better, and one even said that if they biult the game up from scratch on the ps3 it would clearly lag behind in certain areas.
anyway fm2 isnt for graphic whores, if thats what you want then thats what games like gears of war and motorstorm are for

Over the past 3 months it has out sold both PS3 and 360.
I'm really wanting to buy a console, when I seen the elite 360 come out, was ready to snap one up for Forza 2 but £419 and doesn't have the HD-DVD drive, so £520 for Xbox to be HD.
I can't justify £400 on a PS3 which is the one I want, need some good titles before I even consider buying it.
Soon as price hits £350ish I'l go snap one up

i still dont the the gfx on forza are wank, some of the lighting effects for metallic and even more so the flip paint effects is bloody impressive

its still easy on the eye, and im some aspects such as lighting it is very impressive. i think people who think it looks crap probably need to set there tv up properly, after searching on avforums and setting mine up properly fm2 looks miles better

there is aliasing issues on some colours, its strange that its not present on some colours bit is on others, i find dark blue to be bad and some reds.
If they could run at 60fps with 4x AA rather then 2x AA then it would be sweet
