hi ya all ive just started to take my engine apart to do the headgaket+all the other seals and gaskets which linked the the head but before i took the engine apart my crank sensor was playin up a bit and the car ran a bit funny as soon as i turned it off then back on it was fine but are the 1.6xe and 1.4xe crank sensors the same as i can get hold of a 1.4xe one for free

Yes, they're the same crank sensors.
