I have just bought a 42" second hand plasma which is a few years old (doesn't have HDMI input)
The TV has one components input and one RWY (scart) connection
I currently have my XBOX hooked up to it, but this uses the components AND RW connection for audio
I want to be able to connect an additional DVD player and Freeview box (both using scart)
Can i use a scart splitter and only input the sound for the XBOX?
Think i explained that OK . . .

Something like this will do the trick
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=4724

I used to have the second one ages ago, and found you could push all three switches in at once, then it just picked up whichever was turned on without you needing to change it.

Which TV is it?
For some older screens you can buy boards that you insert with HDMI/Component/Composite inputs
