Does iTunes forget the path of music if you were to store it on another drive other than c://?
Only asking because I loaded all of my music onto an external hardrive a few years back and deleted it off my c drive. Loaded iTunes back up with the music folder with the d drive for example, and a few days later loading iTunes up and it didn't know where the music was.
This may of just being because I had another device plugged in and it was the d drive...
If I define the new network hardrive as a p:// or something that wouldnt be used, would iTunes remember where the music is?
Only asking to save pissing about if it doesnt work.
Thanks

Isn't there an 'add media to library' type option with iTunes?

Click Edit, Preferences, Advanced and Change the Media location there.
Works fine over a domain.
Then go and add that folder with all your tunes.

If you Map the drive to a random letter say O:\ then it will always come up as O:\ even if you have a usb drive in etc
