i wondered this before. Austin will tell u how its done. He made me a little diagram on how you can bridge the amp to run 2 subs. i think it makes the subs run at higher ohms tho. not really sure, but it worked for me

Just read your manual on how to bridge an amp. it's uselly the two outside positive and negitive terminals.
But only if your amp is bridgable !!!

the 2 ohm load would give a higher power output and would be louder as long as set up correctly.
make sure the amp you are using is 2 ohm stable though, in most cases monoblocks are

if you running one sub then you need 2ohm, if you running 2 off one amp you need 4 ohm subs.

not quite.... all depends if you using Dual voice coil(DVC) sub or not...
if your running one sub and it DVC sub you can wire it to show a 2 ohm load or 4 ohm load.
with a Single voice coil(SVC) it will be 4 ohms... although you can get anything from 2-8 ohm subs.
with 2 SVC subs it will be 2 ohms(Parallel) or 8 ohm(series)
with 2 DVC subs it will be anything from 1 ohm to 4 ohm depending on how you wire them(Parallel)
