i need some new headphones for my iPod. I cant use them in-ear things for too long because they never fit me propperly and make my ears ache after 10 mins or so. i don't really want to spend any more than £50. can i get anything decent for that sort of price or will they mostly be poor quality? there are too many to choose from so i need reccomendations! cheers.

I've got some sennheisers (in ear i'm afraid) and can't rate them highly enough, cost me what £25 on amazon? fantastic improvement over the standard ones, i'd say they were comfier to wear as well. Not sure if they do some that aren't in ear?

Most Sennheisers have different ear piece fitments so you can match them to your ears. Makes a hell of a difference when you get ones that fit properly. I tried mine straight out the box and was like But then tried a different size ear piece and was like

Ive got both the Skullcandy full metals, and the Sennheisers, both are excellent, and hard to tell the difference between tbh.

I prefer my Sennheiser CX300 in-ear buds to my Skullcandy Ink'd ones. They both sound great but I think the Sennheisers sound nicer. And comfort in the ear is much better with the Sennheisers, even though both come with various size bud fitments.
Edit: Oh, just re-read the OP and realised you don't want in-ear buds. D'oh!
