not too hard just time consuming, mine didnt exactly snap, but the rubber stoppers that go either side of the drum and give the friction force popped through and so basically stretched and foOKed the cable. The cables in two parts, get the car up on axle stands and go from there. Bit fiddly getting everything right but like I said take ur time and u'll be okay with it

and replace both cables at once cause for the cost u might as well. The trusty Haynes manual is a godsend when fitting the enw cables

vaux wanted £120 + labour to fit a new one for me, cause it snapped about 80 miles from home, so thought if its not too expensive, I'll get tehm to do it, I knew a cable wasnt too expensive, expected to pay £50 ish or less, came back and quoted me and I just walked out and drove home without a handbrake

took me about 1/2 hour to do mine, its well easy. it just unhooks from everywhere, take the drums off, fully slaken it etc..
make sure you get it the right way round though cos i didnt first time, lol
