So could simply be driving along. then say stop at lights or a junction.
When i go to pull away in first, its fine until it hits about 2.5k - 3k revs and then it drops to 1ish.
Thats with my foot continually on the pedal, it doesnt stall but it feels very close to it.
It also sometimes does this in second. Oh and its a T reg, 1.2 16V
Any Advice?

nope none at all, its quite weird :/
When i say it loses power i mean the revs just drop then within a second or two, pick back up and we're good to go.

I had what you described, it was a mass airflow meter? Although im no mechanic and dont have a clue if that would be your problem

http://www.phoenixspares.com/Used_Parts/Air_and_Fuel_Delivery/Vauxhall_Agila_Astra_Combo_Corsa_Meriva_Tigra_0280218119_Air_Flow_Meter_1.jpg
there is a link to a picture of one.
it is right by your airbox and is only on the 1.216v i think.
it is 2 screw/bolts and unplug/plug back in.
find one off ebay for your car and fit it yourself.
IF IT IS THE AIR FLOW METER. it might not be then it is wasted money.
