My exhaust was fine, I just lowered the car 60mm all round. Now the exhaust is hitting something
when I go over bumps / rough roads .....
Spoke to a mechanic mate of mine & he told me corsa's exhauts hit the rear subframe when they
are lowered. Is this true? what can I do about it?

please help it driving me crackers

Some people get the problem of it hitting the rear axle. It seems that a lot of people do, but for some reason some people don't get it at all. It's probably down to the design of the backbox.

Anyway, what I did was this:

You may be able to stop it by getting under the car and loosening off the clamp and turning the box to get it sitting higher. If not then stick an exhaust rubber over the beam It got through the MOT like that

I got my local exhaust place to put a u bend in, so clears axle easily, and mines down 100

yea I think that will be what I'll have done when I have spare cash .... hopefully the exhaust rubber
will do the trick for now

Won't the heat from the exhaust melt the cable ties holding it on?

no it doesnt rest on it, it just hits it now and then going over bumps, not enough to melt ties

There's still a small amount of noise but it's nowhere near as bad as without.

And no, it won't melt it
