i've heard a fair few bad reviews of talk talk, I can't see you getting much faster speeds than you already have anyhow. I'm with plusnet on the value package, my speed isn't amazing but I've no problems with them at all - worth a look?

have a look on samknows.com to see what speed you should be getting.
You can also find out if it's an llu exchange. If it is then go with o2. If you're with them for phone it'll be a bit cheaper too. Up to 20mb for not much money.
Talk talk get a lot of complaints. Most people on here will recommend o2

I was one of the people who would have recommended o2 until I was forced to change from their access package.
O2 LLU are still good but the access pacakge began to get heavily traffic shaped and really slow.
Talk Talk are the only people I can get LLU with on my exchange so I done a bit of research.
Sales and customer service in general are shocking, I was blatantly lied to on the first phonecall and was a lot of hassle to get it sorted.
I've now been on the pro package for a month or so though, get double my o2 speed, no p2p traffic shaping, static ip, you get a free router if you need one.
There is a forum http://www.talktalkmembers.com, ran by talktalk and they are for the most part very helpful.
My advice on them is, if it works, it works and it's good, if it doesn't, you're probably fucked.
o2 are a good bet if you can get them llu though.

sky broadbnad would be my second choice behind o2 personally. Their unlimited pack is 5 quid for 6 months and only 10 after. Can't remember if you need sky talk to get it that cheap or not tho.
As far as i'm aware they don't mess with your connection anyway.
I'm screwed as i'm 5km from the exchange. I can get 3mb max went with o2

Im only getting 700k from these cunts.
Im just under 3km from an LLU exchange.
There customer service on the phone is ridiculous. Call centre reps trying to be network engineers and failing epically.
They say I should be able to get 4mb but ive never seen more then 700k ffs.
Tied in to 18 month contract so im fucked basically.
Surley I should be able to get more then 700k? Do you reckon the contention ratio is maxed in my area?
