To turn the controller on I have to have it right up against the console and press the 360 button
Pretty shit as on the Puss3 I can just press the PS button and not only does the controller respond but the console turns on too, and thats from the other side of the room
Seems the range to activate the controller and turn the 360 on is about an inch

mines turns on from anywhere in my house and i can talk in chat all through my house aswell.

Ok, ignore my original comment.
Turns out it does turn the console on and from some way away. Just needs pressing twice

Yea just hold it down. Mine works from the end of the garden, bit hard to see my 22" screen though

mine works fine. can switch soapbox on when in my garage. although weirdly the headset wont work that far even though its plugged into the bottom of the controller?

does your wired headset work with your wireless controller?
i can only use my wireless rechargable headset with the wireless controller
