If its in warranty, apple will just swap it there and then.
They done a mates on sunday, id put an ebay screen in it, and it lost signal.
They put his sim in a different i phone, and they said, yea its fucked, and gave him a brand new one :/

apple are pretty good with repairs if it's in warranty! My first macbook went back 3 times for the same flaming repair, probem just kept coming back which was admittedly a pita, but eventually the replaced it with a brand spanking new better spec new latest model. I was happy with that anyhow and not had a problem since. Definitely worth speaking to the apple store

indeed, stick with an old phone until then if you have one laying around?
plus, by then, the new iphone will likely to be out, you can sell your brand new one (boxed and sealed!) for a decent amount and put towards the new iphone

ahhh, heres the thing, it was my mates but it got dropped in a bucket of water and stopped working so he got a new one from insurance, 2months later it started working again so he said i could have it, now the problem it has hasnt got anything to do with waterdamage as it is a softwear/hardwear fault but the phone is too old to get replaced upder warrenty

Sell it off then, better to cut your losses and wait for the new one.

So whats wrong with the phone exactly? Just because it started working again does not mean that its the water thats ended up causing this problem.
If you got it for free I don't think you can really complain about Apple charging you to fix it

im not complaining, it was just annoying lol, the fault it has now is nothing to do with water damage, its a known softwear fault. a mate has it now to take a look
