What's it for?

What's wrong with straight?

If you angle it down to the inside water will obviously get in it.

Always angle slightly up from outside to inside. It allows any moisture to run to the outside rather then into the house.

Just good practice to do so.

Drill it whatever way you want then stick a bit of silicone around the hole.

One of these with a little blob of silicone around the cable. Also put a u bend on the cable and bring it up a few inches before going into the hole. Will stop the water running straight down the cable into the hole

I've been taught at work ever so slightly up to inside to stop any water that could run down the wall getting in

also if the cable coming into the house goes down to the hole from above loop it below the hole and then back up in, stops any water thats dripping down the cable from going into the hole

always drill from the inside as you will burst the plaster other way around and always drill down a slight angle

Dick head who did my Sky connection burst right through two bricks when doing multiroom. He's not even put any brickdust covers on. Apparently Sky do not provide these.. Inside is a really nice job. I'd rather him have fucked the inside up if i'm truthful. I could have sorted that my self. It's not so easy getting up on a ladder to the thrid floor

I'm going to get the site manager to sort this for me costing me more money.
