Trying to add an extra top site to my top sites, no working

Anyone ? It's driving me nuts.
When i click edit, it says drag and drop site url here to add to top sites, but i've tried this

Normally you copy the link, drag the whole thing on to the top site section and then enter the name you want for the website link ???

I had already googled it but opted for another link, that one seemed a bit better, thanks fella 
I was just highlighting the website URL, but it appears if you click the small logo at the beginning of it then it works
