Alright peeps?
Wee question.
The metal rod bit which connects the motor to the wiper arm which needs to be cut and welded. How much do i cut off this bit??? I've heard or read 7mm and some folk say 10mm, anybody got experience using these values???

I just read somewhere else that it was 7mm to be cut out, so basically was making sure. Cheers mate

It's a thingy, and i got it from a scrapyard, here in South Africa, I just bought the whole wiper section excluding the motor, and i had two to play with.

done it on mine add about 5mm. seven and 10 is too much trust me ive had the whole thing in and out so many times.

You gotta cut away 10mm on the Corsa's.
Maybe you have a different car and the mechanism is different!
