right i am going to build a setup for the car but want a 6 speed box to give me better topend, any ideas without using the f28 as i dont want to have to rework the box much?

Remember gearing is only one issue, doesnt matter if your gearbox is geared for e.g. 200mph you'd still need like 1000bhp+ to get there!

its for a corsa b that i am planning a c20xe with heavy mods, i want to be able to run on distance and get reasonable mpg as it will get driven to track events

why would you need 1000+bhp?

Because it wont just depend on the gearing past 150mph air is alot thicker so more power is needed to go faster. plus a corsa has the aerodynamics of a brick.

its possible to do 176 in a corsa with an f20.

whats your idea of a heavy spec xe first. without knowing what the spec is going to be we wont be able to give you any idea of what your looking for.
your idea of a heavily worked xe may be a fast road set up compared to what ive built or could build as a heavyily tuned xe.
