After rebuilding a head for a X16XE and starting up... running for 20 mins+ new oil its still tappy.
It wasnt tappy before hand and the hydrolic lifters were stored in oil during the rebuild.
Its worth mentioning its had all 16 valves replaced.
Is it just a case of running it in more? Is there any oil additives that will stop it?

Same lifters/head as previously? If so run it longer.
I assume you put them back in the same places as previously? It 'shouldn't' make a difference but it is prudent to do so due to wear.

Mines the same, was fine before the head was done and now its tappy and hasnt got any better after nearly 7 months
Im going to be replacing the lifters and cams in a month or so and hope that sorts it. New lifters from autovaux are £130ish for a set.
