for my cousins girlfriend, ive only looked at contracts when i got mine but shes in contract for another year yet. she wont get one off ebay either. talk to me

Buy one sim free, although i'd be surprised if you can still get a 3GS sim-free, won't be cheap. Second hand is the best option, be it eBay or somewhere else.

Google iPhone 3GS sim-free, plenty of sites out there although the going rate seems to be about £400-500+

Having a quick look, you can pick up one off ebay for £300 although i did see a few go for around the £250 region a few weeks back when i was looking. So if she is after one then either considering ebay, wait until her contract is over and get one (in which case she'd be better off getting an iPhone 4) or prepare to get ripped a new arsehole buying one sim-free.

yes they do look pretty expensive! gonna work out if its cheaper to just get a contract and pay hers off

How much would one with a broken screen be worth? Friend of mine has one, but the plastic screen on the front is broken, screen itself and the touch functions all work still. Its just a 3G though, not the S.
