TBH i would prefer to spend around £100, but i can go to £130 if i really need to.
Its for my girlfriend, it doesnt have to take good still as we have a panasonic TZ6 for that, however it would be a plus if it did, as would HD.
Can i get a good camera for my budget and what

quite like the look of the new samsung f30 but it probably does not have great spec at only £99

thing is my TZ6 takes fairly good recordings, but im assuming a cam corder will use less space on a card, as my TZ6 uses loads of space takeing video footage

You're wanting to pay £130 though. You're hardly going to get something with a decent lens for that money.

As Ed said, you're not going to get any decent glass on a camera for that sort of cash and a flip is probably you best bet. A bit stingy but if you went second hand you could pick up something fairly decent - Panny SD10 / SD5 / HS20 or TM60, Canon HG20 / HV30. There's a few bargins to be had on ebay currently.

Nothing stingy about second hand or graded. My SLR was supposedly second hand but it may as well have been brand new. Was dead cheap too

Was thinking more along the lines of it being a present for his missus. I have no issue with buying secondhand gear though.

ok guys ill check some out, as said the best one with zoom for that cash seems to be the toshiba models, but suffer in low light conditions.
and this samsung one which has 34x optical zoom but at £100 it must have some other faults i would assume.
whats the flip, kodac sport, and the creative vadoo like in low light conditions , anyone know
