A friend of mine has bought a laptop on friday.
OS Windows 7
Norton 60 days trial Anti virus
By sunday afternoon she had a rogue antivirus some how appear.
This Antivirus IS. I am not sure if a real one exists?
Seems to be a bastard to remove, limits the amount of stuff you can do with PC.
When ever i tried to open a file i had a message saying such and such file is infected and this action can not be executed. some thing like that.
In the end i managed to get rid of it some how ( i think restoring windows helped)
Any one had to deal with this?

Thats pretty mch what i did. Well i left Norton fire wall on, but installed avast. It found one file that was infected ( a PDF file) in IE tempp files. so i cleared all temp files, cookies etc.
I have very little experience with Win7, but can you start them in Safe mode?
