Everytime I try to get onto my profile I get the error...
"An error has occurred whilst fetching data [null]"
Everything else on the app works properly 98% of the time I can just never see my profile, any ideas (HTC Desire if that helps)

Same on my desire, pretty much every time I get the same error. The widget works perfectly for status updates though.

To be honest it's near enough the same, only major gripe is the fact that clicking on a notification opens up the browser
Eitherway, might be worth seeing if it's the same on WiFi and 3G/EDGE etc Uninstalling and Reinstalling might do the trick as well.
Worse case then try Bloo app (pretty decent facebook app) or use touch.facebook.com in the browser.

I've fixed this now and it could be anything of the below as I didn't try it after each step.
1) Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > Facebook
Click "Clear Data" follow by "Force Stop"
2) Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > Facebook for HTC Sense
Click "Clear Data" follow by "Force Stop"
3) Market Place > Download "Facebook for Android"
4) Log in
5) If the above doesn't work, repeat steps 1 & 2 but setup your account with a new email address (See below)
Facebook.com > Account > Account Settings > Email (Change) > Add New Email Address
