I love my music and I do quite a bit of traveling so I could do with something to keep me entertained in airports and on flights ect and I need a new mp3 player anyway
thinking of getting my self an Ipod touch but I dont know anyone with one, are they any good?
just the same as an iPhone but you cant call text or go on the net?

i have had a shot of one before and it was pretty cool and easy to use and yeah it seems to just be an iphone without the ability to call, text etc

If you can work an iPhone, the touch is exactly the same bar calls/texts/net access. All the apps work the same, though some newer games can be a bit slow on older generations.
You can get a 2nd gen 8gb for around £60.

Anyone noticed that the old gen are more expensive to buy brand new than the new gen? 
Got my old gen for 110 before xmas last year and now their silly money.

you can do everthing the same as an iphone apart from call text and go online via a mobile network (but you can go online with wifi) and there is a few good deals of a ipod touch 4g on at the minute if you search around

You must be looking at the 3rd gen as apposed to the 2nd matt. Tbh for the money just get a 2nd gen 3rd has higher res screen and a camera as far as i know, depends if you care about those bits really.

I want one tbh! I've got an 8 gb nano but want a bit more and also some of the apps for running etc ad I can't get the iphone till my contract ends Nov next year.
Worth it?

3rd gen doesnt have a camera its the 4th gen IIRC

Yeah your right the 3rd gen was the same as second for the 8gb, only the 16/32gb was different. In that case go for a 2nd/3rd gen 8gb but know they are the same thing exactly so dont pay more for a 3rd gen etc

I have a 4th gen 64GB, £320 I think I paid. It is awesome but it's not hugely greta when out fo WiFi as you're pretty much limtied to games and music. Worth the extra though plus they hold their value really well if looked after
