Long shot here, but I cant find anything on google..

My brother picked up a 2003 1.8 TDCI focus dirt cheap, mot'd and taxed, but had two bent conrods. Found a new engine, but we were wondering is the fuel pump on these paired to the imobiliser? If so we can take the pump off the old engine, but if not saves us a fair bit of work!
