As above need the head bolts settings for a early type xe. I think it's 25 n/m then 3 stages of 60 degrees. Of some could help that would be amazing

your rite bar 3 stages of 90 degree

there are dif settings.

ive seen 3 so far:

25nm 3 x 60
25nm 3 x 90
25nm 3x 65(victor reinze headgasket)

not sure on the other 2 which is which, but i dont like doing 3 x 90, feels far too tight and like a bolts going to pull through, i just do 3 x 65 tbh

I went to do 3 x 90 when I did mine but only maanged the two, would end up the same as 3 x 60.

dont do 3X 90's u will rip the thread out on the front end holes

i always use the early longer bolts no matter what any the engines i build for that reason. had early bolts pull threads out a couple of times...pain in arse

I know a guy that had a good few XEs and did all his own maintenance - did many a headgasket and he always used to use this setting, don't know if that's why he had to do them so often though right enough!
