Usually use craftychat for sites, but was wondering are there any free or cheap systems that can deliver messages straight to iphone / log on from iphone?
Thanks

Nah, need a proper chat client like Liver Person or something. Where they can click on the site to open a chat with me, in the perfect world it would bring it up on my phone if not at a pc.
Not sure if anythinge exists though?

I'm guessing you can't just use a CGI web based chatroom or something like that and give it it's own subdomain so it's easy for clients to connect to. Even the iPhone should be able to handle that. Not as swish maybe.

Would have to have the page open 24/7 on the phone, would be ideal if I could get a popup / notification when somebody says something on it.

Oh right, so it's so anyone can just jump in for help at any time without letting you know first?
Wouldn't be too hard to add an email notification to you to let you know someone's joined the chat.

Yeah mate.
Only thing with that is, if you were on a site and you clicked enter chat, or help with order etc, you wouldnt want to wait more than 30 seconds in reality would you?
Also, i'd have to be online (so have the chat open & ready) for it to even let somebody join.

Yeah but in reality you're telling me you're gonna be available 24/7 to dick around sorting people out? I don't believe it.
EDIT: ...and you wouldn't have to be online, they could sit in the room on their own and it'd still be running on the server, wouldn't matter.
If the email was sent instantly to your phone then I can only see it taking 5secs more for you to click a shortcut on your phone desktop to enter the chat.

Looks good Sam, but they've not released their app yet, blog was added about it November, and still not released. Hmm
Found these;

Bloody expensive though, £9 for the app, and £125ish for multiple domain licence.
