I've already sketched out what I'm going to do. I've got a chimney stack running through and came up with the idea of a floating band running through the middle with media stuff hanging out either side of the chimney width. Uplights either end to pick out my sloping ceiling.

Will turn it into a CAD model tomorrow and check it works

Easy bit is the carpentry/plasterwork/decoration - electrics and uplighting, not so much.

At the expense of gatecrashing the thread, this is what I'm going for now....

Sketched the floating idea but would end up a bit complex to build.

Andy what did you use to design that? I wouldn't mind mocking up some designs for my living room.

art.co.uk is getting a hammering for prints for the walls, thousands to choose from in all sizes. Well worth a look if you're thinking of getting some.
