Need some sort of waterproofing paint for a concrete shed roof.

Was going to see if i could borrow a bitumin boiler and put some hot bitumin on htere but can't get hold of one.

So was wasdering if anyone knew of anything I could use to paint onto the roof to stop water coming through. Don't want to use torch on mineral felt as it tends to lift and water seeps through the joints.

Need something to cover about 10square meters that doesn't cost a fortune!

You can get bitumin paint.

You could treat the roof similar to a wooden shed roof. Put some plastic membrane/pool liner down, then some cheap felt. Then bitumin paint on top. Should be a good seal.

Sound, Will look for some of that. Was weary of using that as it seems a little runny, Wanted something that would be thick enough to cover the area.

It is good stuff. I've only really used it on sheds though. I used to keep my motorbikes in a shed so I needed them to be really water tight.

Bitumin paint on the felt, then a layer of pool liner, more cheap felt ontop then bitumin paint again. Never a single drop of rain/water through in over 8 years

Finally got around to doing it today, Went to JTF where they had bitumin paint in for £10 for 5 litres and covered it in that.

Have spent the last 3 hours scrubbing it off my hands, arms and legs. Never put it on, on a windy day

Just got to paint the outside with some masonry paint and redo the window and door and its all watertight again!

Too late but I was laying Tarmac this weekend and it reminded me of this thread. We seal in the Tarmac with aqueous bitumen which is pretty horrible stuff, but it's good for waterproofing.
