my sisters eee is knackered. it was saying some system file was corrupt and wouldn't boot up so i managed to boot it up from an external dvd/cd drive, but then it crashed in the system restore. now i'm back into bios and the external dvd/cd drive isn't showing up anymore so can't boot at all, now it just says NTDLR is missint press ctrl ald delete to restart, can't manage to boot off the dvd drive anymore
any ideas?

the asussetup.exe file would not run on my computer, i am running windows 7 64bit...
been trying another option, downloaded unetbootin to try and create a bootable usb drive, i'm kinda lost from here, theres several "distributions" to choose from, and can't see a windows xp version

Sorry m8, I've not actually done it before. Just pulling info from the net. I'd have a go if the Netbook was infront of me etc..
Depends if you have the original support DVD and what model of eee it is.

managed to restore it from the original dvd, got it to boot properly in the end, cheers Allan
