Selling a item on ebay and been offered little bit more than its worth but the ebayer has asked to pick it up from me.
I checked his feedback and hes spent £1600 in last 2 days on electrical items.
I asked one of the members if he was genuine and they told me he paid via paypal and had a little issue with feedback but all sorted.
Just wondering if theres a new scam I should be aware of?

If he's picking it up make him pay cash and then there's no worry.

Don't get paid with Paypal if he's coming to collect, otherwise he can claim he never received and you will have no evidence of postage or anything. Paypal will side with him and give the monies back. As John says, take cash on collection.

Or, if he wants to pay through paypal, then when he turns up to collect, take a picture of him holding the item with your girlfriends clothes on. proof right there.

He'll be doing what I said.. buying expensive items, paying with Paypal, collecting in person then opening a dispute in Paypal. it's a common con on there. Be glad you have CS to guide you in the right direction

He left postive feedback to the member i contacted thought that would stop him making a claim.
