rite, ongoing problem for ages here. got a reasonable exhaust system on. stainless 4.1, de-cat, stainless centre with small silencer and a nice stainless back box. not too loud blah blah blah...
problem iv got is the centre pipe hits off the heat shield, iv had it alll off 4 times now. tried it from all angles but its asif the centre wasn't made to suit the back box properly... new rubber hangers, clamps, adjusted and rotated... tried the lot! even bent the heat shield in a bit....
would it still be 100% safe and fully road legal to just remove that rear heat shield??
thanks

no point removing it, its bent in and touching the car
dodgy centre imo
wedged a cut rubber hanger in for now, will this survive? unlike the other bit of rubber i tried that came from an old cone air filter (adapter rubber ring) completely melted that car stinks atm

What's bent in? The centre section of the exhaust?
Have you hit a speedbump too fast and bent it?
