Do your consoles automatically connect to live when you turn them on?

Mine signs into the profile automatically, but it doesn't go online until I click connect to live

Damn sure it used to.

Cheers

Just to veifry, this is when using wifi yeah?

I've been through every setting and can't see anything apart from the profile auto sign in, which is on. Connects straight away when I click the connect button so there's no issues connecting

have you tried resetting the router and network etc after putting all your settings in?

i deffo remember mine being like that, can't remember what i did, but i think it sorted itself out somehow, i also remember having trouble with all the nat setting even though i copied everything exactly from the old xbox.

DMZ wouldn't work

is it something to do with the connection type if its, open or whatever? I seem to remember having a similar problem ages ago, mine always works fine now even carting it round my mates houses etc.

I'd considered maybe it was something to do with me using WPA2-PSK or my N router or something, god knows. I'm just gonna reset everything this weekend and re-setup the xbox, etc. and see what happens.
