I think I'm finally seeing the limitations of a 40GB PS3 and the network annoyances!!
Just turned on for a quick game of GT5 and it asked me to do loads of updates. Finally done that and now it wants to update the console
Can't see me playing anytime soon
360 FTW

yeah, but you get free online play, free built in wifi and a browser. Plus it streams better too
360 sucks really.

Never had a problem streaming on xbox, plus slim has wifi, plus it's considerably cheaper to play basically the same games.

There's not a problem streaming, just the quality.
Xbox has shit sound quality when streaming compared to the superior machine

The PS3 really showed its value when you threw the bluray player into the mix, maybe not so much now.
But all the updates really is annoying, I think I had nearly a 1gb of updates to run throw at the weekend

I've also had both. I currently own a 360 slim, and i prefer it to the ps3 (40gb). Yeah it ma not have bluray but i don't watch bluray films so i#m not missing out on much and as said before it's got built in wifi.

Well in comparison my 360 is quicker. This was earlier today when you would think it would be quicker too.

There are pro's and con's to each console
PS3 has blu-ray, apparently better for streaming (not sure what that's for though?), and used to be the only one with built in wifi
360 - cheaper to buy in the first place, more of the people I play with have that console, Xbox exclusives that I prefer over the PS3 exclusives (Forza > GT5 etc)
I wouldnt use the PS3 for everything it has, I have a laptop that is a better browser than a console will ever be, I dont have Bluray films and as I dont steal films off the internet I have nothing to stream either.
Plus the PS3's controllers are shite

LOVE the PS controller. 360 controllers are heavy bricks in comparison.

It's the opposite for me. After using a nice solid xbox controller for so long, when I go to my mates on his PS3 it feels horribly light and cheap.

My 360 controllers are shit.
One doesn't charge and the other has squeeky triggers.

It does feel light when going back I must admit. The battery back can get annoying with the 360.

When you get updates on the 360 its usually just a couple of seconds, are they big files on the ps3 or soemthing?

Was also thinking this, either dashboard or game updates they literally take seconds (and im on a copper ADSL connection limited to something like 300kb/s), I know on my dad's PS3 even though he has a faster connection it seems to take forever for them to download
