Aparantly some has rolled over from the last 1/4.

But still should not be that high as only the boiler is gas. I dont have the heating on just the mrs at night for a few hours. Showers ect though.

Just traced the pipe and box number 2 goes round the back of the house and goes under the house 2ft off the boiler.

Pretty sure your bill should state the serial number of said meter. (does for us with leccy)

Check them against each other

Can you turn the gas off at the meter?

If so turn it off at what is meant to be your metre and see if you still get heating/hot water, if you do then you know its not your metre and you neighbours will soon complain

How have you got on then? Turning something on is the way to find out. You will have the answer in seconds if the neighbors are on hols.

Yours is a new build isn't it? They often don't number the meters but they do with the original plot number for the flat. Worth a look.

bit dangerous to just turn gas off if you dont know whos it is

for example if one flat is cooking and has a couple of rings lit on the hob and you cut the gas, the flames will go out but the controls on the cooker will still be open. you turn the gas back on and the cooker will start spewing out unlit gas

turn it off and leave it off. Then when they get british gas to come fix it you can show the bloke the fuck up!

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Yup - turn it off and leave it off.

And when it does not turn the gas off call the british gas out saying the gas won't stop even though you have turned it off at the meter.
