Im building a 1.4 8v turbo but one thing im not sure of is what intercooler and pipes to use, anyone any suggestions??

Is there something different to a 1.4 8v compared to the 1.6 8v that makes it turbo friendly? I wanted to turbo my 1.6, but apparently theres no way known to stop it self destructing past 3psi
