Needs two SATA III connectors on a PCI-e 1x bus

For doing 2 x 2Tb in mirror config.

Suggestions please.

Don't know of a pure 6Gb/s SATA card, plenty of 6Gb/s SAS cards about though - Adaptec 600 series, HighPoint 600 series (IIRC 620 is x1).

Actually the Highpoint Rocketraid 620 series is a SATA 3 card, x1 but low profile although i'm sure you get a full size bracket. Haven't used a RocketRaid card but they're cheap (CHEAP).
Otherwise it'll be something like a Adaptec 6405 (SAS controller but you get a SAS to SATA fan cable with it) but you're looking at £200 region.
