ive recently got a 1.4 8v corsa 5 door its r reg and when i start car it over revs slightly about 1 and half then settles to below 1. but when it reaches below 1 it runs bizzare like really em how to explain mmm poppy like and give like a vibration i thot maybe a leak in exhaust but not sure if that would cause anything also thot maybe icv not sure if explained very well but cant really think how to explain to be honest hopefully some1 can help

could they be choked or will they need replaced

On an 8v it should be quite easy to get to, never done one before though. They are on the throttle body.

Best to buy a new one, you could clean it out and try that first though if you want to.

i had feeling was there but wanted to make sure car drives fine its just when idle its sudders and drops under 1000 revs

Try cleaning the butterfly valve in the inlet first though

I have the exact same problem with mine. I would suggest egr valve, though if its running fine as mine is i would leave it. If its not broke and all that. Ive done 5k since it developed this an no problems.

exhaust gas recirculation valve? shouldnt have anything to do with it
