Need to buy 3 new TVs for the house. What is the latest shit you need to have? Whats the difference between full HD and HD ready? Any advice or LCD TV recommendations welcomed!

1080p is full HD.
1080i/720p is HD ready.

i was told that on small screens, 720p would be fine, doesnt need full hd

Full HD is the one to get if you are plugging something in that makes full HD....like Sky HD or Freeview HD etc or an Xbox 360.
Otherwise just get HD ready, they're alot cheaper!

I believe that SkyHD is 1080i, but it's been a while since I looked into it.
I would be happy with 720p on a 26" screen.

Its for my bedroom, and I was just going to get one with built in Freeview. Would Full HD be better?! Im confused to fuck

i saw that panasonic in currys, screen didn't look very sharp.
the full hd samsung led tv was much sharper and a lot thinner and lighter too.

Both TV's posted above look decent above for what you'd need it for Rich. Just that when I was looking I wanted 42" and the price difference between HD Ready & Full HD is very different. For what you need it for, HD ready is fine, if you can get Full HD then it's a bonus

led tv's are thinner and lighter.
and in currys, the led tv's gave off a better picture than the lcd's.
but then you have got the whole led backlit vs led tv debate which goes over my head. u2u daveylc for that.

I wouldn't bother with LED Rich, you don't need it and the price difference is ridiculous. If you are buying 3 TV's you might be able to strike a deal with a shop
