Right missus has an iPhone (obviously) and using the latest version of iTunes, but she is trying to create a ringtone to use on the phone but hasn't got a clue?

Any help please.

It's a fecking pain in the arse. You have to make a duplicate of the song you want to ringtone-ify in AAC format, then go into the information for that song, set the length to exactly 30 seconds, then drag and drop to the desktop, rename to [Song Name].m4r, then drag it back into iTunes and it should appear in your ringtones collection in the left-hand menu. Then when you connect the iPhone you have to tell it to sync your new ringtone.

if you're on about cutting aq song down to use..

then create aac or something

I took ages doing this last night

right click on a song -- get info -- options

Edit: Just a thought, but could you snip part of the song, as long as it's 30 seconds long and in the acc format should work shouldnt it?
