my BFO sounds awesome on my 8 valve
my mate with ibiza 1.8 turbo says it sounds bigger than his and he has a 200 quid hurricane airfilter fitted.
go for the BFO

as tested by a guy on here 1.4 16v with other engine mods:
1. k&n induction kit - 110 bhp
2. drilled airbox with k &n element - 114 bhp
3. viper 119 bhp
all tested on the same rolling road on the same evening, thats enough proof for me to not get an induction kit.

had an inducion kit on mine, i then put on a drilled airbox and it was defo quicker esspecially on hot days, but then i put my induction kit back on, buyt its irrelevant too your car really cos i moved it too the other side of the engine bay so its 1/2 closer to the turbo and is only getting cold air now as its shielded from teh hot air.

i drilled me air box on wekend its cool.
is it worth though putting a k&n pannel filter in will it make a difference?

i have got a K&N panel filter with drilled air box, but ive only used the drilled air box with me K&N air filter, but id say their will be an improvment over OE, if only slightly
